Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF)

C/2022 E3 (ZTF) is a non-periodic comet suspected to originate from the Oort cloud, discovered by the Zwicky Transient Facility, hence the ZTF, on March 2, 2022. Around its nucleus grows bright green light caused by the effect of sunlight on diatomic carbon and cyanogen. It reached its perihelion on January 12, 2023, with its closest approach to earch on February 1, 2023, about 0.28 AU away. It’s speculated this comet could return in millions of years or leave the solar system completely due to its observed trajectory and velocity.
